Positive Human-ness in Times of Intense Polarization

Webasto (diesel heater) update: after weeks of back and forth, the local electrician, Gabriel, finally figured out what was wrong and how to completely fix it. I am super impressed. He did it in a language not his own that he isn’t conversant in. He consulted all the design documents, the wiring diagrams, the electronic cards and methodically eliminated every other possibility. Finally he took the board home, determined that there were 2 bad semi conductors that were leaking current and were not needed as they were for a set of 2 additional thermostats that we don’t have in our system. We have 2 zones but the system has capacity for 4. So, the system now runs as it should, shuts off as it should, isolates the circulation pump if requested to circulate hot water to the heaters when running the main engine, all as it should! I am in awe of the guy, his intelligence and his commitment to excellence. Despite the many horrors of the world and the humans in it, there are bright rays of sunshine of human ingenuity, integrity and decency. This is one small example of it.
